Greater Middle East Center

Uniting & Empowering Our Diverse Communities

IRCO's Greater Middle East Center (GMEC) is a new IRCO cultural center established to empower and support communities from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia living in Oregon and S.W. Washington. GMEC is proudly led by an advisory council of community leaders.

We connect communities to available resources and provide culturally and linguistically specific services including Arabic language classes for children and youth; career coaching, English literacy classes, job skills trainings for Afghan employees; and refugee youth mentoring.
