Cayle Tern, MSW, President of the Iu Mien Association of Oregon, and Reynolds School District Board Director. Cayle graduated from California State University, Chico with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, He earned a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University. Cayle is passionate about social justice and equity. As a former refugee of Laos and a member of a minority ethnic group, he has experienced similar obstacles that hinder our refugee immigrant's ability to thrive in the United States. As an organizer, Cayle collaborates with grass roots community-based organizations to advocate for immigrants, refugees, and marginalized families. He serves is Southeast Asian Community by representing them on local community and government advisory boards and committees. In his spare time, Cayle likes to enjoy outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. He is also an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and community.
